First-Year Students Experience Corporate Reality through “Core 1 - Enterprise Approach”

Right from their first academic year, students of the Faculty of Accounting – Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) have the opportunity to step beyond the classroom and observe real business operations through Core 1 - Enterprise Approach.
This course marks the beginning of a series of specialized topics designed to gradually introduce students to the professional environment—starting with an understanding of corporate culture, operational processes, and the management practices of modern enterprises.

In the academic year 2023–2024, a total of 361 first-year students, divided into nine groups, participated in field trips to Yakult Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Binh Duong) and Ajinomoto Long Thanh Co., Ltd. (Dong Nai).
Held during November and December 2023, these visits provided students with vivid insights into organizational structures, corporate culture, and the professional working styles of leading enterprises in Vietnam.

Accompanying the students were faculty supervisors and guest speakers—experienced professionals in accounting, auditing, and business management such as Ms. Thai Thi Van Anh (Partner, KTC Vietnam Audit Co., Ltd.) and Mr. Le Hoai Phuong (Director, U&I Audit Co., Ltd.).
Through their sharing sessions, students were inspired to develop a spirit of learning, professionalism, and self-discipline for their future academic journey.

“Core 1 - Enterprise Approach” not only familiarizes first-year students with the real-world corporate environment but also serves as the first step in the Faculty’s career-oriented learning pathway.
With a training philosophy that emphasizes practical application and global integration, Ton Duc Thang University continuously provides its students with opportunities for holistic development—equipping them not only with solid academic knowledge but also with early professional awareness, preparing them for more advanced, practice-oriented courses ahead.
