International Conference on Finance and Economics - ICFE 2016 (Seminar: Sharing the experience in Research)

Having a great success of two major events which are the 3rd International Conference on Finance and Economics - ICFE 2016 and the Seminar about topic "Measures to raise capital for start-up companies " organized by the Faculty of Accounting of Ton Duc Thang University from June 15th - 17th, 2016. On June 18th, Faculty of Accounting kept collaborating with the Postgraduate department to organize the seminar to share the experiences in research for graduate students majoring in accounting and the others interested in this sector. In the seminar, it is indeed honor to have the presence of Prof. Indra Abeysekera coming from Central Queensland University (Australia), the main speaker of the program. The lecturers together with graduate students of faculty of Accounting as well as the graduate students of Business Administration faculty and Banking faculty also attended.

Prof. Indra with his experience in research on the field of accounting and auditing had executed during the experience sharing session. The experience sharing of Professor is actually profitable and meaningful for graduate students who is going to get accustomed to the methods of research. In his speech, Prof. Indra passionately conveyed all important experience in research. The charm of his speech was completely impressed with all those who attended the seminar.

Prof. Indra not only gave briefly understandable explanation but also enthusiastically suggested topics for graduate students so as to help them have more good ideas in research. The success of the experience sharing session also stemmed from the huge contribution of Dr. Hoang Cam Trang - Head of International Accounting Department. She has enthusiastically conveyed all the good ideas from Professor to graduate students. Hopefully in the near future, the faculty of accounting will have an honor to welcome Professor to return to Vietnam to continue to inspire the students not only in research but also in other fields related to academics.

At the end of Seminar, all lecturers and students attending took memorable photos together with Professor. The seminar ended has made the students feel regretful, many students have expressed their desire that the faculty of accounting will continue to organize similar talks so that they could have chances to exchange and learn experiences with the well-known experts.
