Introduction ASEAN University Network - Quality Assurance
WHAT IS AUN-QA?
AUN (ASEAN University Network) is a quality assurance organization of the ASEAN University Network.
AUN-QA (ASEAN University Network - Quality Assurance) is a set of standards with strict quality rules, with specific and clear criteria, focusing on comprehensively evaluating the program through different aspects such as expected learning outcomes, curriculum framework, faculty, facilities, networks among students, university and partner associations to ensure the quality of the entire curriculum.
WHY DO WE CHOOSE AUN-QA TO ASSESS OUR PROGRAM?
AUN accreditation provides a comprehensive set of standards for evaluating the training quality and recognized by the educational system in Southeast Asia area. AUN accreditation helps Vietnamese universities step by step in determining their international position. Therefore, participating in AUN inspection will bring following benefits:
- University: affirming the university's commitment to society and employers on the output quality of the training program regarding the provision of high-quality human resource.
- Student: Students studying in AUN-QA rated and recognized programs will easily participate in different student exchange programs or transfer equivalent academic credits among regional universities. Furthermore, students graduating from these programs will have more advantaged opportunities in finding jobs in regional and international markets.
- Employer: The AUN-QA assessment result provides employers with a reliable basis in recruiting qualified human resources.

ACCOUNTING CURRICULUM – TDTU AND AUN-QA
Faculty of Accounting, TDTU is in progress to complete the Self -Assessment Report for Accounting bachelor’s degree (standard program) followed by AUN-QA. It is supposed to be officially conducted in the end of January/ 2021 via online assessment.
According to the requirement of AUN-QA accreditation, there are strengths and weaknesses described clearly in Accounting curriculum. Therefore, TDTU and Faculty of Accounting have a specific action plan to overcome the shortcoming and improve the curriculum, upgrade, and ensure the quality of the teaching and learning environment.
ASSESSMENT PROCEDURE OF ACCOUNTING PROGRAMS TO 2025
Currently, there is procedure for accreditation of training program to 2025 to meet the regulations and demonstrate a commitment to ensure the quality and value of degree of learners. The specific accredited in the period 2020 – 2025 as follows:
- Bachelor of Accounting _Code: 7340301_Standard Program: enrol the AUN-QA assessment in January/2021.
- Master of Accounting _ Code: 8340301: enrol the FIBAA assessment in 2023
- PhD in Accounting _ Code: 9340101: expected inspection in the next period.
