Faculty Of Accounting Holds Graduation Thesis Defenses For Semester 2 Of The 2025–2026 Academic Year

On June 10 and 12, 2026, the Faculty of Accounting successfully organized the Graduation Thesis Defense for 129 students enrolled in the Faculty’s academic programs. The defense sessions were conducted through 11 examination panels, including nine High-Quality Program (HQP) panels, one panel for the 100% English-taught program, and one panel for the standard program.

The Graduation Thesis Defense serves as a capstone academic activity, providing a comprehensive assessment of students’ learning outcomes prior to graduation. Through the defense process, students are given the opportunity to present their research findings, demonstrate critical thinking and presentation skills, and showcase their ability to apply professional knowledge to practical issues in the fields of accounting and auditing. In addition, the defense offers students valuable feedback and professional insights from panel members, helping them further develop their competencies and better prepare for their future careers.

This year’s theses focused on highly practical topics in accounting and auditing, particularly:

• Current practices in accounting functions within enterprises;
• Audit procedures for specific accounting cycles;
• Solutions to improve accounting and auditing practices in businesses.

Notably, three theses were developed from student scientific research projects, reflecting the strong academic spirit, research capabilities, and practical application of professional knowledge among Faculty of Accounting students.

In addition to the Faculty’s academic staff, the defense panels were joined by distinguished professionals and representatives from leading accounting and auditing firms, including:

• Mr. Le Hoai Phuong, M.A. – General Director, U&I Auditing Co., Ltd.;
• Mr. Tran Tan Phat, M.A. – Founder and Director of Audit and Assurance, Crowe Vietnam Co., Ltd.;
• Mr. Nguyen Thanh Sang, M.A. – Founder and Deputy General Director, VietValues Auditing and Consulting Co., Ltd.;
• Ms. Huynh Thi Hong Phuc, M.A. – Audit Manager, Crowe Vietnam Co., Ltd.

During the defense sessions, students presented their research findings, engaged in academic discussions, and received constructive feedback from panel members. In particular, practical insights shared by industry representatives not only helped students refine their theses but also enhanced their professional mindset, technical competencies, and workplace readiness before entering the labor market.
