International Conference on Financial Management and Economics 2023- ICFME 2023
The International Conference on Financial Management and Economics 2023 (ICFME 2023) is organized by the Department of Finance and Banking in collaboration with the Department of Accounting, Ton Duc Thang University, Vietnam; Eli Broad College of Business, Michigan State University, USA; Faculty of Management and Economics, Tomas Bata University in Zlín, Czech Republic; and the School of Business, Education, Law and Arts, Southern Queensland University, Australia.
On the morning of July 4, 2023, the International Conference on Financial Management and Economics 2023 (ICFME 2023) commenced at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU).
The opening ceremony was attended by Professor Dragon Yongjun TANG, University of Hong Kong (Hong Kong); Professor Zoran Ivkovich, Michigan State University (USA); Professor Juraj Sipko, Tomas Bata University in Zlín (Czech Republic); professors and experts from Tomas Bata University in Zlín (Czech Republic), Michigan State University (USA), Southern Queensland University (Australia); University of Pardubice (Czech Republic), Corvinus University Budapest (Hungary); representatives of sponsoring companies, partner companies, professional associations from both domestic and international sectors.
The conference took place over two days, July 4 and 5, 2023, with 13 paper presentations, direct and online discussions at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), involving experts, scientists, lecturers, and researchers in the fields of Economics, Finance, and Management from various universities and research institutes from both domestic and international locations, such as the United States, Australia, Czech Republic, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Hungary...
At ICFME 2023, scholars presented and discussed new research findings on economic management and their impact on business operations, organizations, and the economy as a whole. The conference also provided a platform for scientists, business managers, and economic managers to share experiences, cultures, and cooperate in introducing scientific and technological products related to financial economics.
Within the conference framework, a workshop on "Game Theory in Accounting and Finance" was organized, attracting nearly 130 invited guests with a presentation by Associate Professor Barna Bako, Director of the Institute for Economic Research, Corvinus University, Budapest, Hungary.
At the conclusion of the conference, outstanding papers will be considered for submission to one of the three ISI/Scopus Journals: Economic Research - Ekonomska istrazivanja; Journal of Competitiveness; Transformations in Business & Economics.
The success of the ICFME 2023 conference has opened up numerous potential academic collaborations between TDTU in general and the Department of Accounting in particular, with professors, researchers, and renowned universities and research institutes in the future.
