Warm Gathering between Parents of High-Quality Program Freshmen and the Faculty of Accounting – Ton Duc Thang University

With the aim of strengthening the connection and cooperation in student education between the University and families, the Faculty of Accounting – Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) held a “Parents’ Meeting for Cohort 27 of the High-Quality Program” at 1:30 p.m. on October 7, 2023, in Room A101, Tan Phong Campus.

The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, welcoming distinguished guests from the Institute for Cooperation, Research and International Training (Increti), representatives from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), and the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol, United Kingdom).

Notably, the event was honored by the participation of nearly 70 parents of first-year students enrolled in the Faculty of Accounting’s High-Quality Program, Cohort 27.

During the meeting, Dr. Le Thi My Hanh – Dean of the Faculty of Accounting, Dr. Nguyen Duy Suu – Vice Dean, and the Faculty’s lecturers shared detailed information about the training programs, their structures, and the employment outcomes of Accounting graduates. They also offered suggestions for how the Faculty and families can collaborate to support students throughout their academic journey toward completing the Bachelor of Accounting (High-Quality Program).

The Faculty of Accounting currently offers three high-quality training programs, including the High-Quality Bachelor of Accounting, the International Bachelor of Accounting, and the International Joint Program in Accounting (3+1 model).

In the sharing session by the representative from ICAEW, parents highly appreciated the integrated curriculum of the High-Quality Program. The Faculty’s collaboration with ICAEW provides students with remarkable benefits — notably, students in the integrated ICAEW CFAB program (embedded within the Faculty’s curriculum) who pass at least two subjects will be directly shortlisted for interviews with ICAEW’s prestigious partner organizations, including global leaders in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, and Taxation such as the Big Four, BDO, and Mazars.

According to the 2023 International Recruitment Results of BDO (specifically for CFAB students), among the 12 CFAB graduates recruited, 4 outstanding students were from Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) — a remarkable achievement that reflects the Faculty’s commitment to international-standard training.

These talented students have successfully completed the ICAEW CFAB program and gained valuable opportunities to work at major multinational corporations, showcasing the quality and global competitiveness of TDTU’s accounting education.

Here are some photos of outstanding TDTU students from the CFAB program who are now pursuing their careers with leading international firms.

In addition to the integrated ICAEW program, the 3+1 Joint Training Program in Accounting also drew significant attention and questions from parents. During the meeting, they had the opportunity to hear from a representative of the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol, United Kingdom) — an academic partner of Ton Duc Thang University.

UWE Bristol is among the world’s leading universities in business and economics education and offers a range of special scholarships and support programs for students from TDTU.

Students enrolled in this joint program will receive two bachelor’s degrees upon graduation:

  • A Bachelor of Accounting awarded by Ton Duc Thang University, and
  • A Bachelor of Finance and Accounting awarded by UWE Bristol.

This dual-degree structure represents a key strength of the joint program, significantly enhancing students’ competitiveness in the global job market.
