Closing Ceremony of the AUN-QA External Assessment at Ton Duc Thang University
Closing of the AUN-QA External Assessment for Four Academic Programs: Accounting, Biotechnology, English Language, and Applied Mathematics
After three days of serious, intensive, and responsible work, on the morning of December 11, 2025, the AUN-QA Assessment Panel concluded its direct interview sessions with program management teams, support staff, lecturers, students, alumni, and employers.
At the same time, the panel conducted observations of teaching activities and facilities and carried out a comprehensive evaluation in accordance with the AUN-QA Standards and Criteria, Version 4.0.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Prof. Dr. Yahaya Md. Sam, Representative of the Assessment Panel, highly appreciated the University’s preparation, as well as the quality and learning environment of the institution, particularly the significant improvements made by the four programs since the first assessment in January 2021.
“This re-assessment marks an important milestone in TDTU’s long-term commitment to educational quality, while also emphasizing that improvement is a continuous journey requiring openness to feedback and persistent, sustained efforts,” Prof. Yahaya affirmed.
Also addressing the closing ceremony, Dr. Vo Hoang Duy, Vice President of the University, expressed his sincere appreciation to the AUN-QA assessors for their serious and professional working spirit throughout the re-assessment. The University’s leadership considered this activity highly meaningful to TDTU’s quality improvement process. The review of the four academic programs has enabled the University to gain a clearer understanding of the progress achieved and to continue benchmarking against regional standards, thereby strengthening the foundation for further quality enhancement in the coming period.
The outcomes of this assessment are expected to serve as a significant driving force for the University to further standardize and enhance its training, research, and community service activities. This also represents an important step in reaffirming Ton Duc Thang University’s position as one of the pioneering higher education institutions in the region in quality assurance and international integration.
