Faculty-Level Evaluation of Student Scientific Research Projects, Academic Year 2016–2017
On July 31, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. in Room B205, Ton Duc Thang University held the faculty-level evaluation session for student scientific research (SSR) projects of the Accounting Department for the academic year 2016–2017. The session was highly successful, with participation from supervising lecturers, faculty members, and student researchers.
Student scientific research is a movement actively encouraged at universities both in Vietnam and abroad. By engaging in research topics and exploring solutions, students can fully apply the skills they have learned at university, such as research, analysis, and statistical skills. This allows them to contribute practical solutions to the issues addressed in their projects.
For Accounting students, scientific research helps develop recommendations and solutions for issues in their field, addressing shortcomings and improving accounting systems in companies that may still have gaps.
The evaluation session received enthusiastic participation from six research groups. The topics presented were insightful and thought-provoking. Despite being students with busy schedules, they devoted time to conducting research, surveys, and collecting diverse and comprehensive data from stock exchanges. This reflects their curiosity, creativity, and dedication to learning.
The session concluded successfully. This marks a positive signal for the future of student scientific research, with hopes that the movement will continue to grow, involve more projects at higher levels, and further foster the students’ spirit of learning and exploration.
