“ACCOUNTING AND AUDITING TRENDS IN THE NEW ERA – PREPARING FOR YOUR CAREER”

To strengthen the connection between the university and enterprises in training and utilizing human resources, developing practical-based training programs, and providing updated information on global accounting and finance trends, the Faculty of Accounting of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) held the Enterprise Partnership Signing Ceremony with A&C Auditing and Consulting Co., Ltd. and the 2023 Business Forum under the theme “Accounting and Auditing Trends in the New Era – Preparing for Your Career.”

The event took place on the afternoon of May 12, 2023, at Hall 10F, TDTU.
Representing A&C Auditing and Consulting Co., Ltd. were Mr. Nguyễn Ngọc Thành (Deputy Director), Ms. Trần Phạm Mai Anh (Head of Human Resources), Mr. Hoàng Thái Vượng (Audit Director), and Ms. Bùi Thị Tỉnh (Deputy Head of Human Resources).

From the Faculty of Accounting, the ceremony welcomed Dr. Lê Thị Mỹ Hạnh – Dean of the Faculty, Mr. Phan Hoài Vũ, MSc. – Head of Accounting Department 1, Ms. Nguyễn Thị Thanh Hương, MSc. – Head of Accounting Department 3, along with faculty members and more than 300 accounting students.

Dr. Lê Thị Mỹ Hạnh shared: “The partnership between the Faculty of Accounting and A&C has been built over many years. This formal signing ceremony further affirms the strong and expanding collaboration between the two units in education and enterprise cooperation. Through this partnership, A&C will continue to provide more meaningful support and opportunities for TDTU accounting students.”

Her remarks were met with enthusiastic applause from the entire hall.

Following the ceremony, the 2023 Business Forum took place with guest speakers from A&C Auditing and Consulting Co., Ltd.
The speakers discussed the current changes in the market, the impact of technology on accounting and auditing professions, and how the definitions and skill sets in these careers are evolving. They also shared national strategies for accounting and auditing development toward 2030, helping students anticipate future career trends.

The speakers emphasized that, to succeed in the accounting and auditing fields today, students must continually enhance both their professional expertise and soft skills such as communication, presentation, and digital literacy. Most importantly, they highlighted the necessity of professional ethics, including integrity, objectivity, prudence, and confidentiality.

The forum concluded with a lively and engaging Q&A session between students and guest speakers. With insightful and practical discussions, the event inspired students to further develop their skills and reaffirmed their confidence in choosing accounting and auditing as sustainable, meaningful career paths.
