On July 18, 2025, the Faculty of Accounting at Ton Duc Thang University successfully hosted the 6th Business Roundtable under the theme “Shaping Accounting and Auditing Talent in the Digital Era.” The event welcomed representatives from professional associations (VACPA, IIA, ACCA, CPA Australia), Big4 firms (PwC, EY, KPMG), more than 30 partner enterprises, and the entire faculty team.

The roundtable aimed to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry in order to align curricula with modern, practical, and internationally integrated approaches. In her opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi My Hanh, Dean of the Faculty of Accounting, emphasized the importance of embracing global trends in technology, data, and integration in accounting and auditing education.

During the discussion, delegates highlighted the need for students to be equipped with knowledge of IFRS, internal auditing, and global taxation, along with technology skills in AI, big data, analytical software, and digital auditing. Employers also underscored the importance of critical thinking, data analysis, and adaptability as key attributes for future professionals.

As part of the event, Dr. Nguyen Duy Suu, Vice Dean of the Faculty, introduced the new Auditing program, officially launched in 2025. The curriculum integrates technology and data practices to meet industry needs. Enterprises expressed appreciation for the quality of TDTU students and pledged continued support through resources, information, internships, and career opportunities.

In closing, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi My Hanh extended her gratitude to all partners and reaffirmed the Faculty’s commitment to innovation, particularly in developing the Auditing major and enhancing data analytics capabilities. The roundtable concluded successfully, with strong expectations for sustainable cooperation between the university and businesses in the future.
