Ton Duc Thang University Ranks Among the Top 100 Young Universities in the World According to THE

On 15/02/2022, the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings announced the 2022 rankings for young universities worldwide. Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) was ranked 98th out of 790 universities included in the list.

THE Young University Rankings evaluate universities globally that are 50 years old or younger and have been published by THE since 2012. This is the first time TDTU has entered this ranking.

In terms of methodology, the ranking uses 13 criteria adapted from THE’s overall World University Rankings, with reduced weighting for reputation, which is measured through surveys.

The 13 ranking criteria of THE Young University Rankings are grouped into five categories: Teaching, Research, Citations, International Outlook, and Knowledge Transfer.

With this achievement, TDTU is the first and only university in Vietnam to enter the Top 100 young universities in the world.

Founded in 1997, TDTU is a public university operating under an autonomous model. In September 2021, THE also released its overall World University Rankings, in which TDTU became one of the first two Vietnamese universities to be ranked among the Top 500 universities in the world.
