Signing Ceremony of the Cooperation Agreement between Ton Duc Thang University and the Vietnam Association of Certified Public Accountants (VACPA)

On September 28, 2023, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) and the Vietnam Association of Certified Public Accountants (VACPA) held a signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement for the period 2023–2028.

Attending the ceremony on behalf of VACPA were Dr. Trần Khánh Lâm – Vice President and General Secretary of VACPA, Mr. Nguyễn Thanh Sang – Member of the Executive Committee, and Ms. Lê Thị Bích Hải – Deputy Head of the VACPA Office, Member of the Executive Committee.

Representing TDTU were Dr. Võ Hoàng Duy – Vice President of the University, Mr. Tăng Khắc Quý – Director of the Center for Corporate Cooperation and Alumni, Dr. Lê Thị Mỹ Hạnh – Dean of the Faculty of Accounting, along with faculty members, staff, and accounting students who attended and witnessed the signing.

During the discussion, Dr. Trần Khánh Lâm emphasized the close and long-standing relationship between the Faculty of Accounting and VACPA. He highlighted TDTU’s pioneering model in accounting education and stressed the importance of fostering creativity and innovation through technological and professional competitions for accounting students.

In his remarks, Dr. Võ Hoàng Duy, representing the University’s leadership, highly appreciated VACPA’s contributions and the achievements made through the long-term collaboration with TDTU and the Faculty of Accounting. He affirmed that this renewed agreement would further strengthen the partnership, enhance joint research and training activities, and promote innovation initiatives in the accounting field.

The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) marks a promising milestone in the development of the auditing profession and the training of future accountants. The collaboration will create valuable opportunities for students to gain professional knowledge and hands-on experience, thereby improving both academic quality and professional standards in the accounting and auditing sectors.

The 2023–2028 cooperation agreement represents a significant step toward building a sustainable and comprehensive partnership between TDTU and VACPA, contributing to the continued advancement of auditing education and practice at Ton Duc Thang University.
