Series Of Activities Celebrating The 43rd Anniversary Of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (20/11/1982 – 20/11/2025) At Ton Duc Thang University
On November 20, 2025, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) held a series of meaningful activities to celebrate the 43rd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (20/11/1982 – 20/11/2025).

The ceremony was solemnly organized at Auditorium 2A with the presence of distinguished delegates and guests. Representing former leaders of the Party and State was Dr. Đặng Ngọc Tùng – former Member of the Party Central Committee and former President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. From the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front was Mr. Nguyễn Minh Dũng – Director of the Department of Finance and Planning.
Representing the Ministry of Education and Training was Mr. Lê Thắng Lợi – Chief Representative of the Ministry’s Office in Ho Chi Minh City and Director of the Southern Center for Education Development.
The program also welcomed representatives from various agencies and local authorities (Ho Chi Minh City Study Promotion Association; Party Committee of Tân Hưng Ward; Party Committee and People’s Committee of Tân Mỹ Ward; People’s Committee of Tân Hưng Ward, Ho Chi Minh City…), leaders of partner universities, and leaders of major and reputable enterprises such as Ba Huân JSC; Đầm Sen Water Park JSC; Vietnam Rubber Group; Hoa Sen Group; Bibica JSC; Agribank; BIDV; TTC Group; FPT Corporation; Đồng Tâm Group; Hiệp Phước Industrial Park JSC; Saigontourist Travel Service Co., Ltd.; Vietcombank; Rex Hotel Saigon; PVcomBank; the Quảng Ngãi Entrepreneurs Club in Ho Chi Minh City, among others, who attended and sent congratulatory flower stands.
From the Founding Council of Ton Duc Thang University were Ms. Hoàng Thị Khánh – Chairwoman of the Founding Council; Mr. Cao Minh Thì – Member of the Founding Council; and Mr. Phạm Hồng Kỳ – Member of the Founding Council.
Representing TDTU were Dr. Trần Trọng Đạo – Chairman of the Scientific and Training Council and President of Ton Duc Thang University; members of the University Council; the University’s Board of Presidents; former presidents and former Board members; retired staff and former leaders of Faculties/Departments; Professors and Associate Professors; academic advisors; as well as all lecturers, researchers, administrative staff, VFIS pupils, students, graduate students, and alumni.
Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (20/11) is an occasion for society to honor those who have devoted themselves to education and to shaping future generations. It is a day when the entire community expresses gratitude and appreciation to teachers.
During the program, Dr. Trần Trọng Đạo – Chairman of the Scientific and Training Council and President of the University – on behalf of the University’s leadership, extended heartfelt gratitude to all lecturers for their silent yet enduring contributions to education and to the sustainable development of TDTU.
In his remarks, Dr. Trần Trọng Đạo shared: “Let us continue to hold hands and remain united to achieve success together—especially to create new accomplishments in celebration of the 30th anniversary of Ton Duc Thang University in 2027. Only through this spirit will we stay strong each day, maintain the energy needed for the long journey ahead, and fulfill the mission entrusted to us by society as well as the aspirations of those who built the foundation of this University. Our students and their families are placing great hopes in us!”
On this 43rd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day, TDTU was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Education and Training for outstanding achievements in the emulation movement “Innovation and Creativity in Management, Teaching, and Learning” during the period 2020–2025. In addition to the collective award, the Ministry also presented a Certificate of Merit to Dr. Trần Trọng Đạo for his exemplary achievements in the same movement.
