International Joint Training Program – A Cost-Effective Choice for Learners
The International Joint Training Program allows students to transfer to international university campuses for study and graduation. This program is a collaborative educational model between Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) and prestigious universities around the world. Students complete Phase 1 (2–3 years) at TDTU, and the remaining 1–2 years at one of the partner universities such as the University of the West of England, Bristol (UK); La Trobe University (Australia); Saxion University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands); Prague University of Economics and Business (Czech Republic); Taylor’s University (Malaysia); Feng Chia University and Lunghwa University of Science and Technology (Taiwan).
The Faculty of Accounting currently offers a partnership with the University of the West of England (UWE)—one of the most modern universities in the United Kingdom. UWE is located in Bristol, the UK’s eighth-largest city and the largest in the Southwest, known as the region’s cultural, economic, and educational hub. In 2015 and 2016, UWE was ranked among the Top 10 Young Universities in the UK and received an “Excellent” rating for teaching quality by the UK Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education. It was also ranked in the 601–800 range globally and 151–200 among the world’s top young universities (Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2016–2017). With over 30,000 students and 3,500 faculty members, including 2,000 international students from 140 countries, UWE offers an ideal learning environment for Vietnamese students aspiring to study and research in the UK.
Under this program, students complete four years of study in two stages.
- Phase 1: Three years at Ton Duc Thang University, where students also attend intensive English courses to strengthen their language proficiency and prepare for English-taught subjects and full integration into the international learning environment.
- Phase 2: One year at the University of the West of England (Bristol, UK).
Upon graduation, students receive dual degrees:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Ton Duc Thang University
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of the West of England, Bristol
As these degrees are internationally recognized, graduates can pursue careers worldwide—either returning to Vietnam with TDTU’s career support or working abroad (subject to each country’s policies).
Cost-saving advantages:
- Intensive English training in an English-speaking environment to ensure readiness for international study.
- Eligibility for scholarships from both TDTU and the partner university.
- 40–60% lower costs compared to full overseas study—an affordable option for students with limited financial resources.
- Overall 20–30% lower total expenses than studying entirely abroad.
If you aspire to study in an internationally standardized academic environment and earn a globally recognized degree, don’t hesitate to apply for the International Joint Training Program of the Faculty of Accounting, Ton Duc Thang University.
