On June 6, 2025, Ton Duc Thang University hosted the Closing Ceremony and Awards Presentation for the University-Level Teaching Demonstration and Seminar Series, Academic Year 2024–2025. This series is one of the University’s key professional activities, aimed at promoting teaching innovation, spreading academic initiatives, and fostering a culture of scholarship across the institution. The ceremony recognized and honored the teaching innovations of faculty members during the past academic year, with the attendance of the University’s Board of Management, leaders of faculties, institutes, and centers, 119 faculty and staff members, and nearly 100 students.

The Faculty of Accounting proudly stood out as one of the most outstanding units at this year’s event, earning multiple impressive awards in both the teaching demonstration and seminar categories. These achievements reaffirm the Faculty’s pioneering role in integrating creativity and technology into teaching and research.

The highlight of the event was the teaching demonstration by Mr. Dang Le Tran Vu, MSc, with the topic of integrating AI technology into the course Principles of Accounting. His work was honored with the Special Award – the highest recognition in the University’s teaching demonstration category. This award not only recognized his excellent pedagogical quality but also reflected the Faculty’s continuous commitment to innovating and preparing future generations of accounting and auditing professionals for the modern era.

In the University-Level Seminar category, the Faculty of Accounting also left its mark with two AI-based teaching applications that received a Third Prize and a Consolation Prize, including:

  • Pixar-style animated short film: When History Comes Alive, recreating the life of Luca Pacioli, regarded as the father of modern accounting.
  • Principles of Accounting Chatbot: an AI-integrated intelligent learning assistant providing instant responses to common academic questions.

These achievements once again demonstrate the Faculty of Accounting’s clear direction in combining innovative teaching methods, technological applications, and practical relevance, while also fostering a spirit of scholarship, creativity, and collaboration among its faculty members.
