Summer Camp 2024: Visit to Flying Spark enterprise in Thailand

According to the academic year 2023-2024 plan, with the aim of organizing exchange programs and fostering cooperation between the Faculty of Accounting at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) and major universities worldwide, providing students with opportunities to experience, learn, and explore new cultures, the Faculty of Accounting organized a visit to Flying Spark Enterprise in Thailand as part of the Summer Camp 2024 program.

During this visit, students were introduced to Flying Spark, a pioneering company in the production of insect-based products. Representatives from the company presented the history of its formation and development, its vision, mission, and core values. This information not only helped students understand the enterprise better but also inspired and motivated them in their studies and research.

Following the general introduction, students listened to the head of the R&D department at Flying Spark, who detailed the production process of the company’s products. The students had the opportunity to experience and observe specific products, from the initial stages of larvae, through the incubation rooms, to the larvae stage, and finally to the adult fly stage. Each step in this process was introduced in a detailed and lively manner, providing the students with a comprehensive understanding of the product lifecycle.

The visit also included a tour of the production rooms, from the incubation room to the final product processing room. At each room, students witnessed and learned about each stage in the production process, gaining a deeper understanding of how an insect-based product is formed and developed.

The visit to Flying Spark provided students with many valuable real-world experiences. They not only gained a better understanding of the production process and product development stages but also learned from a professional and modern working environment. This knowledge will be valuable for supplementing related coursework and reporting back on what they learned upon returning to Vietnam.

At the end of the visit, representatives from the Faculty of Accounting and the students expressed their sincere thanks to Flying Spark for their warm welcome and the valuable knowledge shared. This trip not only provided academic and corporate culture experiences but also helped students develop communication skills with international partners. We hope that in the future, Flying Spark will expand its business in Vietnam and have more opportunities to collaborate with Ton Duc Thang University.
