Showcasing Research Excellence: The Remarkable Achievements of Graduate Accounting Scholars in ICFE 2016

Beyond specialized training, the education of graduate scholars is intrinsically linked to the cultivation of scientific research orientation. Throughout their academic journey, scholars, under the dedicated guidance and support of their instructors, have developed a keen interest and honed their skills in scientific research. The Accounting Department, in collaboration with its faculty, has consistently facilitated opportunities for these scholars to engage in various workshops, conferences, and seminars, encouraging their active participation.

This collaborative effort has borne fruit, with graduate scholars in the field of Accounting making commendable strides in scientific research. Notably, these scholars have contributed articles and presented their scientific studies at international conference proceedings, showcasing their work in the presence of experts and scientists from the field.

Highlighting Specific Achievements:

Graduate scholar Hoanh, Lam Thi Hoang, under the mentorship of Dr. Hanh, Le Thi My, achieved significant recognition with two publications in the proceedings of international conferences:

Hanh Le Thi My & Lam Thi Hoang Hoanh, in collaboration with Nguyen Hong, explored "The Effect of the Audit Firm and Firm Performance on the Timeliness of the Financial Report: A Case of Vietnamese Stock Market." This study was presented at The 10th International Days of Statistics and Economics (VSE), Prague, September 8-10, 2016, and is indexed in ISI – Conference Proceedings Citation Index.

Hanh Le Thi My & Lam Thi Hoang Hoanh, alongside Hoa Nguyen Dinh and Tay Nguyen Hong, delved into "The Effect of Frequency of Board Meetings on Performance of Listed Firms: A Case from Vietnam." This research was featured at The 3rd International Conference on Finance and Economics (ICFE) 2016 and is also indexed in ISI – Conference Proceedings Citation Index.

Another commendable contribution came from scholars Ha, Le Hong and Thien, Nguyen Huu, guided by Dr. Hung, Tang Tri, with their work on "Studying Operating Processes of the Market Management Department of Gia Lai Province, Vietnam in View of Internal Control System," presented at ICFE 2016.

The Accounting Department's commitment to fostering a research-oriented educational approach has yielded tangible results. These achievements are a testament to the dedication of both the faculty and students, promising a bright future for ongoing and future research endeavors.
