New Academic Year Gathering and Student Dialogue of the Faculty of Accounting for the 2024-2025 Academic Year: An Opportunity for Exchange and Career Orientation

The new academic year has officially begun, and as a longstanding tradition, the Faculty of Accounting at Ton Duc Thang University organized an annual meeting and dialogue with students from cohorts 25, 26, and 27. This event aimed to create a platform for students to exchange ideas, share experiences, and receive guidance on their studies and future careers. It was an opportunity for the university to listen to and understand students' thoughts and aspirations while allowing them to learn from the valuable experiences of industry professionals.

The event took place from 9:30 to 11:30 AM on August 23, 2024, and was attended by key members of the Faculty of Accounting's leadership team, including Dr. Le Thi My Hanh, Dean of the Faculty of Accounting, and Dr. Nguyen Duy Suu, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Accounting. Additionally, the dialogue was honored to welcome special guests from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and A&C Auditing and Consulting Co., Ltd., including Ms. Tran Pham (ICAEW) and Mr. Chau Thanh Tai (A&C), who provided practical insights into career opportunities and industry trends in the digital age.

Throughout the dialogue, students had the chance to directly express their concerns about the accounting profession and academic matters, receiving detailed and thoughtful responses from faculty members and guests. Real-life stories and practical advice offered students a clearer perspective on the career paths they are pursuing. This event truly served as a moment for students to strengthen their confidence and motivation in their academic journey and personal development.
