Accounting Department Achieves AUN-QA Certification: Elevating the Quality of Higher Education
After more than 20 years of formation and development, the Accounting Faculty at Ton Duc Thang University has become increasingly well-known for its quality education in knowledge, skills, and ethics. It meets the demand for high-quality human resources in all fields of society. Over the years, the undergraduate program of the faculty has been standardized and aligned with the programs of universities ranked in the top 100 globally in accounting. It has also been evaluated and agreed upon for credit transfer by prestigious international universities such as the University of Wollongong, Australia; the University of the West of England Bristol (UWE), UK; and Singapore Polytechnic, Singapore (SP). Additionally, the program has been accredited by international professional associations, with some subjects recognized as equivalent in the CFAB certification program of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the accreditation process faced many difficulties and challenges. However, with the high determination of the collective lecturers, staff, and students, along with effective support from the university’s specialized units, alumni, and businesses, the Accounting Faculty successfully achieved international accreditation for its training program. After the evaluation and result verification process, the ASEAN University Network - Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) officially announced and awarded the certificate of the AUN-QA standard training program. This milestone marks the program's official recognition within the ASEAN University Network (AUN-QA) for five years, from 2021 to 2026. This achievement once again proves the effectiveness and professionalism of the training program, recognized by a reputable international accreditation organization. It also serves as a strong motivation for the faculty’s lecturers, staff, and students to continue promoting the core values of discipline, professionalism, dynamism, and creativity to achieve even greater goals in the future.
