ACE KETOAN CHAT GPT Symposium

On April 24th, 2023, the Accounting Faculty of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) organized a symposium on the application of ChatGPT in teaching and practical work in the fields of auditing and accounting. Additionally, the symposium also discussed the potentials and limitations of this artificial intelligence technology.

The event featured guest speaker Dr. Tran Khanh Lam, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of VACPA, as well as lecturers from the Accounting Department and leaders of friendly businesses of the Faculty such as Mr. Le Hoai Phuong - U&I Audit and Advisory Co., Ms. Nguyen Thi My Linh - TASCO Tax Consulting Company, Ms. Tran Thi Cam Hong - VIFATAX Tax Consulting Company, Mr. Nguyen Chien Luy - North-South Tax Agency Co., Ms. Tran Thi Minh Hong - Chan Nhan Tax Agency Joint Stock Company, Mr. Huynh Tan Luc - Tan Ngoc Tax Agency Co., and Mr. Le Quang Phi - Nexia STT Vietnam Co. and the Accounting Department lecturers.

Chat GPT has demonstrated its outstanding advantages, with its remarkable language processor providing quick and specific answers. It has saved a lot of time in searching for information and can be applied to solve technical issues that employees commonly face, communicate with potential customers, create business plans, work processes, and content creation.

With the aim of improving the quality of training, the Accounting Faculty has strengthened its connection with businesses, constantly updating and changing to help students have more opportunities to access and adapt to the increasingly changing environment. Although Chat GPT is a powerful tool to support student learning, there are still concerns about its impact on self-reading, self-research, and analysis behavior.
