Academic Seminar March 2019: Pros & Cons of Electronic Invoices

On September 12, 2018, the government issued Decree 119/2018 / ND – CP stipulating the use of electronic invoices when selling goods and providing services; rights and obligations of tax administration agencies at all levels and agencies and organizations related to the management and use of electronic invoices; rights, obligations and responsibilities of agencies, organizations and individuals in managing and using electronic invoices. Accordingly, the organization of the implementation of electronic invoices and electronic invoices with the code of the tax authority in accordance with this Decree for enterprises, economic organizations, other organizations, households, personal business must be completed no later than November 1, 2020.

In order to promptly update new knowledge for teaching and to help faculty quickly access state policy changes, the Faculty of Accounting and the Center for Applications – Training and Development Economic solutions (CATDES) organized a special seminar with the theme: “ELECTRONIC INVOCES – Pros & Cons” presented by Lawyer Tran Xoa (Minh Dang Quang Law Company). 

The seminar took place at the Faculty of Accounting of Ton Duc Thang University Dr.Le Thi My Hanh, Dean of Faculty of Accounting of TDTU, Lawyer Tran Xoa attended the event along with other lecturers.

Following the presentation of pros and cons in using electronic invoices, an open discussion panel was held for relating inquiries in the field.
In the end, Dr. Le Thi My Hanh assigned all departments, RD groups of the Faculty to continue considering the impact of this issue on relevant courses in preparation for adjusting and updating academic curriculum content promptly.
The seminar was successfully organized, contributing to add practical values for all members of the Faculty.
