Fall semester admission for Accounting graduate programs is now opening

A. GENERAL APPLICATION REQUIREMENT FOR GRADUATE PROGRAMS

1. Application requirement's documents for master’s program:

  • Application Form (Submit online)
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Original copy of bachelor transcript in right applied major
  • Original copy of bachelor certificate in right applied major
  • Statement of purpose (500 words)
  • English Language Proficiency: TOEIC 600, TOEFL iBT 50, IELTS 5.5, PET/FCE 160 (English certificate’s results must be valid throughout the application period) or Proof of bachelor program taught in English language
  • Criminal record
  • Copy of Passport
  • Photograph (3x4 cm)
  • Health check report from the official clinic or hospital within the last 6 months

2. Application requirement's documents for doctoral program:

  • Application Form (Submit online)
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Original copy of bachelor transcript in right applied major
  • Original copy of bachelor certificate in right applied major
  • Original copy of the master transcript in right applied major
  • Original copy of the master certificate in right applied major
  • Research publications (all files of published papers)
  • Statement of purpose (500 words)
  • English Language Proficiency: TOEFL iBT 60, IELTS 6.0, PET/FCE 169 (English certificate’s results must be valid throughout the application period) or Proof of bachelor/master program taught in English language
  • Two Reference Letters (at least 01 letter of master thesis’s advisor)
  • Criminal record
  • Copy of Passport
  • Photograph (3x4 cm)
  • Health check report from the official clinic or hospital within the last 6 month

B. ADMISSION APPLICATION PERIOD

C. ADMISSION METHOD

1. Admission without examination:

- Foreigner candidates with undergraduate diploma;

- Vietnamese candidates who hold undergraduate diploma issued by Ton Duc Thang University within 12 months up to the time of admission.

- Outstanding Vietnamese candidates who hold undergraduate diploma distributed by other well-known public Universities within 12 months up to the time of admission.

- All types of listed candidates above must have TOEIC certificate (score of 500 or above) or other equivalent English certificates.

2. Admission with examination:

- Applicable for other candidates that are not mentioned in Part 1

- Examination including:

  • High-level Mathematics & Statistics
  • Accounting
  • English

* Each exam will last for 180 minutes

D. SPECIFIC APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR GRADUATE PROGRAMS (APPLICABLE FOR ALL PROGRAMS ENROLLED BY FACULTY OF ACCOUNTING)

1. Candidates with Vietnamese Diploma:

- Group 1: Candidates graduated in appropriate field of study, Accounting or other Accounting relating majors shall enroll under admission with examination.- Group 2: Candidates graduated in other fields including Finance, Banking, Business Administration are required to take some prerequisite courses (or have one year of working experience in Accounting field) before being qualified for admission of Master of Accounting.The prerequisite courses include:             - Financial Accounting: 30 periods              - Principles of Accounting: 30 periodsStudents who complete the prerequisite with final exams score of 5.5 or above will be awarded a certificate of completion.

2. Other candidates approved by Faculty of Accounting:

- Diploma: Candidates graduated in appropriate field of study, Accounting or other Accounting relating majors

- Criminal record: Candidates have a clean personal history and have not served any criminal sentence execution

- Health check report: Candidates have good health condition for studying graduate programs.

- English Proficiency:

* Candidates have undergrad, master or doctoral degrees issued by international institutes in which all courses are conducted in English; and the mentioned international institutes must belong to the list of education institutions recognized by authorized government office; or these institutes are ranked in the top 1000 universities in accordance to THE, QS; or these degrees are issued  by joint programs that have been approved by Vietnamese Ministry of Education.

* Candidates have undergrad, master or doctoral degrees issued by Vietnamese institutes in which all courses are conducted in English

* Candidates have undergrad degree of English literature

* Candidates must qualify for Level B1 or other equivalent English certificate: IELTS 4.5, TOEFL PBT 450, TOEFL iBT 45, TOEIC 450 (applicable only for candidates who apply for Master’s degree taught in Vietnamese)

* Candidates who apply for Master’s degree taught in English must qualify for higher English requirement: IELTS 5.5, TOEIC 600 or other equivalent English certificates.

* Candidates who have not qualify for the English requirements must be tested for the enrollment and the test score must reach 50 out of 100.

E. TDTU GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP

As an international student at TDTU, you will have access to a variety of graduate and research scholarships to help you pursue excellence in your academic and research. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic excellence and research potential. The following scholarships are available for graduate international students:

  • Full scholarship: support 100% full tuition fee + full accommodation fee
  • Partial scholarship: 50% tuition fee and 50% accommodation fee
  • Research scholarship: according to publications for TDTU

1. Eligibility:

To be considered for a scholarship, candidates must have the admission offer for a Master or PhD program at Ton Duc Thang University.

Main scholarship round:

  • Apply no later than May 15 each year for Fall semester
  • Apply no later than November 15 each year for Spring semester

2. How to apply:

Applicants applying for a scholarship should submit the online application together support documents and either send them (as scanned documents) to gradstudies@tdtu.edu.vn or submit them in person to:
